Reflexology is a type of gentle massage with its roots stemming from the ancient healings of China, Egypt and the First Nation Americans - amongst others. It is based on the theory that energy zones run through the body. The therapist will gently stimulate parts of the feet, face or hands which represent the bodies' organs and systems. The technique works with your body’s natural ability to restore balance be it emotional, physical, or mental. The foot map shown here demonstrates some of these areas, but note that foot maps can slightly vary.
Watch this clip (below) by my professional association, the Association of Reflexologists, to give you a deeper overview of Reflexology.
After parking in my driveway, or just outside on the road, I will greet you at my front door and we will then walk up the stairs to my treatment room. Your first session will include a well-being consultation. This will allow me to know about your health background, reasons for seeking reflexology, and allow us to discuss areas to focus on to help you with your unique well-being goals.
You will then simply just remove your shoes and socks and get cozy in my reclining LaFuma chair before beginning your choice of treatment. You don't have to wear any particular clothing but comfort is key! I have a variety of pillows and blankets to make sure that you feel comfortable and warm.
The full appointment will last between 60 minutes up to 100 minutes depending on which treatment you choose from my menu. Many of my clients fall asleep and I take the sound of snoring as a huge complement!
You don’t need to worry about what your feet look like or whether you have painted your nails or shaved your legs. Your feet serve you well and deserve at rest. If you are choosing face reflexology then it is best to be wearing little or no makeup if possible, but I always have bamboo face wipes on hand and am flexible to work around you.
At the end of your first treatment we will discuss how the session has gone and I will share any findings or well-being tips. I will then suggest a course of treatments to suit you.
I use a variety of products depending on your needs.
On your feet I use ‘Songbird’ Reflexology Waxes with a variety of scents and benefits. You can choose which you would like to use before I begin.

On your face I use ‘Zone Face Lift’ Facial Elixir which is such a treat. It is created by the Face Reflexology guru Ziggie Bergman and, alongside a multitude of other ingredients, is infused with amathyst crystal and anti-aging properties.

I also ensure that I have an alternative product available for those with allergies or who are vegan.
This will depend on your reason for seeking reflexology and will differ from person to person. The effects of Reflexology are cumulative and clients notice stronger benefits if visiting me regularly.
If you are coming for some ‘me time’ as a treat, then feel free to come as often as you want to. Many of my clients come to me for a well-being boost around once a month.
However, If you are looking to support a specific issue then I will often suggest a course of four sessions between one and two weeks apart as an initial plan, and then we discuss again depending on how your body has taken to the treatments.
We will discuss all of this at your first treatment and create a treatment plan that works for YOU.
